Named only as Derick, 48, he was reportedly on overstay in Thailand of nearly 2,000 days. He was wanted in America in the state of Virginia on charges related to the supply of weapons and marijuana. Naew Na described him as a dangerous individual with a prior rap sheet that included threatening to use explosives, theft, burglary and drugs and weapons violations in Virginia and North Carolina. It was found that he had come to Thailand in September 2014 and never left. Biometrics played a part in his capture. Also in Hua Hin two men were arrested following a scam in which one posed as a bank employee on Facebook to obtain account details of 12 victims. Worawat, 29, stole more than 300,000 baht between June and August this year. His accomplice Karn, 24, was paid 1,000 baht a time to get the stolen money out of ATMs. Picture: Daily News In the second case Jaran 21, and Yingyong, 24,were arrested in Chiang Saen in northern Thailand in connection with cross border trade in meth amphetamine and ketamine. They were also involved in the attempted murder of a kamnan and his three year old child and the death of his wife and a five year old child. The pair had fled to Laos but were arrested on return to Thailand.
