BANGKOK (NNT) - Former Deputy Prime Minister and Chief Advisor of the Chart Pattana Party today expressed his belief that the budget for fiscal year 2020 will stimulate the Thai economy. He suggested that the government accelerate the establishment of stability both inside and outside the parliament to solve the problems of the country and people.

In 1989, he defied the odds in bringing his crippled United Flight 232 in for a crash landing; more than 180 people survived.

Alfred Haynes, a pilot who led a United Airlines crew through an extraordinary display of improvised emergency flying that guided a crippled jet to a crash landing in Sioux City, Iowa, in 1989, saving more than 180 of the 296 people on board, died on Aug. 25 in Tacoma, Wash. He was 87.

Helicopters cost ‘only’ Bt4.2 bn, says Army, not Bt12 bn

Phuket airport to be ‘more strict’ on beach-going photo-takers over safety

PHUKET: Airports of Thailand (AoT) President Nitinai Sirismatthakarn has warned that officials at Phuket International Airport will be “stricter” on people on the beach taking photos of aircraft flying overhead while landing over safety concerns as the airport enters its busy “winter” flight schedule.
