UK Driving license update pink one

If you reside in Thailand then you should only have a Thai licence. international custom , now, is that you should only have one  driving licence issued by the country of your “primary “ residence, not another one issued elsewhere. From what you say, under UK law, You are not entitled to have a UK license anyway. If there was an insurance issue or a serious police incident you could have an issue.

anyway, i don’t understand why anyone (who has a legitimate Thai driving licence) would want to try to use a UK driving licence when they are in the U.K.

without going into all the details (covered on this site before) there are significant advantages using a non U.K. licence when driving in the U.K. Ask one of the Arab road racers tearing around Knightsbridge about this!

If you have a license now Thai or otherwise you can buy an international drivers license on line. I just got a 10 year license valid in 50 countries. Most only offer 1 to 3 years. $65. U. S. plus shipping simple and fast.

You did not get a licence that is valid in any country.

You have been scammed out of $65.

There is no international licence. There is an international driving permit that has to be accompanied by a valid driving licence.

Indeed, in fact if you delve into the small print of the various websites, you will usually find a disclaimer.

In the FAQ of one such website offering these it says "We are not a government agency and we do not issue government documents. We offer unofficial translations of your domestic driver’s license to help you communicate with local officials and rental agencies while you’re aboard"
