In Thailand I have only the motorcycle license, expires 2023.

As the topic says is anyone aware of the procedure to get / add a car license?

If you have a Thai motorcycle license: same/analogue procedure for car license.

You have to go through the same steps (again).

And as written you get a new separate plastic card.

Thanks for the responses.

So I'm just going the pretty standard

  • take a squillion photocopies
  • do the four or whatever tests
  • chew your arm off for an hour or so.

As already stated you have to do the whole process again for your Car Drivers License, here in Chiang Rai they were happy to accept I had an International Drivers License and I did not have to do any Drivers Test or watch any video's........................I still had to get a medical (105 baht) & a Residency Certificate (300 baht) & copies of passport/Visa & do the reaction test, very easy ????
