Anyone Know where I can get a Turkey for Christmas, preferably a dead one.

Anyone any  information on ordering a turkey for this coming Christmas.  I have trawled various local food supplier websites and this forum, but I can't find any up to date information on possible suppliers. I  am aware that imports from the US have been stopped.

Fresh or frozen?

Free range or force fed in a 5 food box with 50 others?

I saw 2 of them in the frozen food section of Makro 3 days ago.

Around 3,000 b each.  They looked pretty bad/discolored maybe left from last year.

Good luck, maybe ask some of the markets they may have connections you cannot access online.

You should probably wait until November. Many that will have Turkeys ( but dont yet ) will probably stock them for thanksgiving ( and advertise them too ). The ones that have them for thanksgiving, most likely will have them for Christmas too.

40km from Pattaya and 30km from Rayong.

There is a a guy, Tananan's turkeys. He has a fairly large set up in Mahasarakham. He delivers to the Pattaya area. His turkeys are good. They are brought up on natural feed. No hormones or high protein <deleted> to get them to grow quicker.

Not sure if he has a website but you can find him on Facebook.

Yep, probably start seeing more info on social media about live, local turkeys (for culling) as we step through October and November.  In past years around that time, have seen frozen ones in a few of the supermakrets up around where I live and Villa Mkts down in Big Smoke, etc.

If you can't find a local turkey (or don't want one), the Central supermarkets as well as Paragon and Emquartier supermarkets import them every holiday season.

Do not buy a Thai turkey, what ever you do.  Disaster!

They do leave "something to be desired" like - some meat on the bone would be a bonus!

Here, expats, repeat after me: Im not going to get a decent Turkey in Thailand. So Ill eat beef and lamb for holidays.

Or even better, a few skewers of Gai Yang, some creamed corn and the Detroit Lions losing.

They're all bone ????

A decent sized Capon (from Tops) goes much further and is considerably cheaper IMO.
