The King of Cabbage

Featured Replies

Anybody know where you can buy Savoy Cabbage. I've looked periodically over the years but have never seen it. They have Wise, Red and Chinese Cabbage and I thought if they grow those they would grow Savoy. It's the only vegetable I miss here (Pattaya).

try the refrigerated top shelf in the produce section of yer local makro where they got the other 'exotic' imported falang vegetables like courgettes (zucchini) and etc...wouldn't expect to find any at lotus or at yer local traditional market...

They once had some Savoy cabbage in the Local supermarket here in

Chiang Mai,it was from Australia, must have been from the Gold coast,as

they were 600 Thb*  each, quite big.

They have other Australian, way overpriced veg  like Swedes,Chicory,Parsnips and

Celery in Makro.

Thank you.

Next time I'm in Makro I'll have a look. I go to Makro once every couple of weeks to buy Lamb.

No luck, I've tried both Makro's and they didn't seem to have any. I'll look again next time I'm in there just in case they were out of stock.

best to pop around to makro when ye don't normally do and then you might find a whole range of western veg on offer...I've gone sometimes to find they ain't got zilch then other times with a full complement on offer...some nice NZ hass avocados last time @ 39thb each...

I'm posting this just to make roger101 feel even more homesick ...
