People are not into Ellen DeGeneres defending her friendship with George Bush

Ellen DeGeneres has posted an (admittedly hilarious) almost four-minute video to Twitter in an attempt to defend her friendship with George W Bush.

Over the weekend, pictures and videos of the pair at a football game caused a bit of a storm, with people on the left criticising DeGeneres for being friends with a Republican - and a highly controversial former president at that.

In response, DeGeneres said she is friends with Bush and many other people who don't share her beliefs, and that's OK.

While people appreciated the sentiment, many also pointed out that Bush's actions actually had huge consequences for many marginalised communities that Ellen supposedly supports, so it's about more than just "differing opinions".

Time for Ellen to retire anyway.  She now is on the Cheerios box and has a line of merchandise at Walmart.

The politically correct types were strongly behind her when her previous gf left her (and for a man!) but those same people are now denouncing her.

There's even a Poll on their website.  I voted and allegedly will receive the results by email so I know whether to continue being offended, or not.  I do the like the point the chick in the vid makes near the end at mark 6:20, about rehabilitation.

Stop all her shows, retract the sponsors and sack her from TV networks. One cannot use one's public notoriety in show business to shove in politics. Other media personnal have been sacked on issues based purely on allegations,.

As Louis CK asked "what are they going to do next, revoke my birth certificate?"

Uh oh.  The dismissive response isn't going to play well in the liberal Twitterverse though.

"Toe the Line, Ellen....."

If she keeps up the dismissive act, Step 2: demand resignation.

If she remains defiant, we'll have a full-blown boycott crisis on our hands as the Ellen Show Sponsors drop one by one.

You know this ends.

Ellen will wind up telling her side of the story to a confused, shocked and outraged Tucker Carlson over at Fox News.

I still love them and respect them.

Sure, do they know how you hate and disrespect them anonymously on the net? Deplorable T voters?

The "terror" of the left liberal politically correct mob.

Do as we say, thinks as we say, speak as we say, eat as we say, have sexual relations as we say, only have friends we approve of, etc etc - Or else.

Charming people - not.

If it were just about Bush's opinions you might have a point. But it isn't so you don't.
