The week that was in Thailand news: Up to no good in Thailand - but the locals give as good as they get!

Internet wisdom - now there's an oxymoron - would have us believe that most every foreigner living in Thailand is up to no good. For every immigrant or visitor clearing up a beach or volunteering for charitable causes there are dozens of others holding up exchange booths, scamming Thai women or even dispatching the locals in a hail of bullets.

TCEB bidding for 18 conventions by 2026

Egat prepares to shut down Mae Moh coal mine in Lampang

Lop Buri police officer arrested for allegedly stealing 50 service pistols

Farmers to seek court injunction on proposed ban on three chemicals

A farmers’ body will appeal to the Central Administrative Court on Monday (October 28) to issue an injunction on the ban of toxic agricultural chemicals – paraquat, chlorpyrifos and glyphosate – which was approved by the unanimous vote of Hazardous Substance Committee on Tuesday.

Honduran inmate who linked president's brother to drug deals killed

PHUKET: Phuket Immigration this week finally confirmed that the mandatory health insurance requirement for people staying in the country on permits to stay under “Non-Immigrant O-A” visa status do not apply to those staying under the general “Non-Immigrant O” visa.
