What method did you use to pay for your Thai Elite Visa?

Featured Replies

My wife and I who are American citizens will be getting Thailand Elite visas while we are in Thailand in January 2020. Getting the visas will require bringing more money than I've ever brought into Thailand. I've read threads about challenges getting the level of funds these visas would require. I read that there's been changes to the ACH process with Thai banks in recent years which make it more difficult.

For those who've gotten the TE visas how did you pay for it? Anyone use credit cards? Also if you got the visas while in Thailand did you physically go to an office somewhere to apply or did you do the whole process online and by phone?

Thanks

There is are two ways to transfer the funds to Thai Elite's accounts. It can be done by doing a international transfer or from a Thai bank. I would guess doing it by sending it by SWIFT directly to them would be less problematic than to you own bank account here since it would be going to a business account.

I have seen reports of doing it by credit card as well. For some people it meant doing it by more than one payment due to limits on a single transaction.
