Holidays for Loy Krathong

Featured Replies

Hello, do you know if Thai consulates and banks will be open on 12 and 13 th of november ? thanks

Loy Krathong is on the 11th.

Neither Loy Krathong nor the 12th or 13th are public holidays.

Why would you think anything is closed?

Yes, it's an important festival/event on full moon.

Some cities hold big parades or what but most of the celebration is after sundown.

It's a Buddhist holiday (as every full moon) but as such not as important as the big ones.

I just did a Google search and on these 2 sites both state NO public or bank holidays in November.

You need to ask locals, where you live.

hope its not another sober day, again...
