Can anyone identify this snake.

Featured Replies

My dogs found this snake this morning and ran off with the other half of it.

I wonder if anyone can identify it by this picture. I live in the Chiang rai area if that helps.

Thanks.

Very difficult to tell without seeing the head !!

Could be any number of species, well not a yellow banded krait, but lots of others ????

Does it matter now, it's dead.... ???

Send the picture to Vern of https://www.thailandsnakes.com/thailand-snake-id/ and he'll get back to you.

The closest it look's like to me from Vern's pdf booklet is a Striped Kukri.

Rat snake

  • 2 weeks later...

It's a Thailand grey

My next door neighbour's dog brought a new friend home today.

I think that it is a rat snake, the gardener thinks that it is a brown kukri snake. Neither of us is an expert.

Any suggestions gratefully received.
