EVA Air Flight Info Request - Bangkok To London (BR67)

Featured Replies

Hi

I’m considering taking this flight instead of my usual Thai Airways flight as it’s a fair bit cheaper.

Unfortunately though, unlike the Thai flight, there’s no overnight option for the BKK-LDN leg, with the departure time being 13:05.

I'd appreciate it if anyone give me an idea of the meal scheduling for the flight, what time lights are dimmed for sleeping (if at all), and other such details.

Many thanks in advance.

Usual.

About an hour or so after take off and about an hour and a half or so before landing.

New plane on this route, comfortable and a good entertainment system

Eva air flight time is perfect. Takes off at a convenient time and you arrive in the early evening and after an hour or two can go to bed and avoid jetlag.

Taking a night flight from Thailand gets you to London around 7 am. Then you have to go through the day feeling groggy and getting the full jet lag experience.

I have flown Eva for the last 11 years and found the service good.

However, last year I broke a vow and flew British Airways for the first time in 17 years because they were 10,000 baht cheaper. So for 2 tickets I saved 20,000 baht.

Imagine my surprise then that the flight was better than EVA. More comfortable seats and better food and drink. In flight entertainment was worse but that was all.

Arrived  about an hour earlier but were in our Heathrow hotel about 7.30 ish. Short walk to an off licence for our first real bottle of wine in over a year with some salmon sandwiches and we slept like logs.

Best flight in a long time.....and I normally hate British Airways !

My flight confirmation (issued in July) says Boing 777-300ER.

However, a Google search of the route suggests a B77W.

Flights of the last few days were all 777-300ER types.

E.g. exactly this plane:

Great airline, perfect times, great cabin service, young aircraft, superb aircrew.  But then again, I'm biased as they pay part of my pension income.

Some of their 777's are 3-3-3 configuaration and some 3-4-3 on London Bangkok. I've only ever been on the 333 but others have said for obvious reasons the seats are tight on the 343 varients

Ah, thank you for the clarification.

Apart from the general newness/freshness of the plane (which seemed a little more roomy), I was particularly impressed with a new ‘video golf game’...... trying to master that occupied 3-4 hours of the journey time.

Thanks, I had no idea.  Have not been back there for years always upfront in Business Class.
