Last thing, I got a year permit to stay with the 400 000 bahts proof and did the 90 days report before.

Can you also get a visa with 400 000 bahts proof? I mean if you were coming to Thailand for the first time and making your first visa with 400 000 bahts proof.

That is why I wrote that after you enter the country using your visa its validity means nothing.

You can still apply for a extension of stay after the visa expires.

UBJ.

Would I be correct or not in saying if you enter on the first day or day after the issue date and you get 90 days permission to stay, and, I'm assuming some may have done it, you don't do an out/in ( or 60 to visit your wife ) you will be on overstay in fact?

I can understand someone thinking  'I've got a one year visa' and unknowingly just not checking the permitted to stay stamp.

Willing to be corrected but you can arrive on a tourist visa, go to Imm' with proof of 400,000 baht and they will issue an O conversion for 60/90 days?

You can then convert that to a one year extension if the 400,000 has been untouched during those 60/90 days.

Of course if a person stayed longer than 90 day they would be on a overstay. Some people just do not realize that your visa really means nothing after you enter the country other than the type of of visa you had when you entered the country.

Many people have made the mistake of thinking their visas period of validity allowed them to stay in the country and got a unpleasant surprise when the left the country or tried to do something at immigration.

hi, tomorrow I will try to get the 60 days permission to stay extension. I'm worried they don't understand, they didn't have problem to do it when my visa was still "valid" but maybe it could be problematic, if they refuse to do it what could I say or do?

Going to another immigration office?

If you permit to stay date (admitted until on your entry stamp) ended on January 11th you are now on an overstay. If you had gone to immigration today you would not been fined for a overstay since the 11th was Saturday when immigration was closed.

If you go tomorrow you be fined 1500 baht for 3 days of overstay.

Immigration will still do the 60 day extension tomorrow after paying the overstay fine.

All that matters is the 'Admitted until xxxxx" in your passport and on your TM6 stapled into your passport.

Forget about your VISA, that's for getting into the country, if you're past the "Admitted until" date, you're in trouble, and if it's more than a week or two past that date, the immigration office will probably detain you and deport you.

I'm at immigration office at Ratchaburi, they say only one extension per visa. We explained everything, the officer called bkk office and said can't do because my visa expired and because only one 60 days extension per visa.

What can I do?

It is not per visa. It is only one 60 day extension per entry to the country.

I should of went back to your first post on this topic would of told you not to bother trying.

They could of granted you 7 days to leave the country after paying the overstay fine and 1900 baht for an extension.

I suggest you leave the country as soon as possible and pay the overstay fine on departure.

Sorry my mistake my extension end on 17 January. Can I still get 60 days extension? If the officer doesn't want what can I do?

What type of extension do you have now?

Have you already gotten a 60 day extension since you last entered the country using a non-o visa? If not you can get one.

In your OP you mentioned January 11th as the date your stamp had on it.

The rules state one per entry. From police order 327/2557.

I got 60 days from February to April 2019 then always use 90 days extension.

On the police order you showed they don't specify if it's one time per entry.

Sorry I made a mistake not 11th January but 17th January.

I think you got new 90 day entries from a multiple entry non-o visa not extensions.

One time means per entry not forever. It really means you cannot get them back to back.

My wife called many immigration offices they all say it's only one time per visa. Anyone ever get several times 60 days with one visa?

I think there's some confusion between a visa and a permit to stay occuring.

Dozens of people have been getting a 60 day extension of every 90 day entry from a multiple entry non-o visa.

So what is the difference between entry and extension?

Your Passport says "Admitted until 17 Jan 2020" (20th October 2019 + 90 days = 17 Jan 2020)

It's the 14th today, so you've got to leave in 3 days.

Just get a flight to HCMC and buy a new 1 year Multi Entry Non-o for $200.

Don't forget they want a letter of invitation from your wife along with the other photo copies.

I have only 2 pages remaining, I will renew my passport tomorrow and need 30 days to receive it. That's why I need this 2 months extension. I'm going to htee khee border to get a month on arrival.

So how can I convince this officer? I got 60 days from February to April then I left the country every 90 days.

Any of your departure and arrival stamps since April proves you left the country and got a new entry.

It is a entry you got when you arrived in the country after leaving the country. A extension can only be applied for at a immigration office.

So am I on an extension or entry? What is the difference? Can I still get 30 days exempt visa on arrival?

A entry proven by this stamp in your passport.

Yes you can get a 30 day visa exempt entry if needed.

No

That is why you can get the 60 day extension. You have never done a 60 day extension since you got that 90 day entry.

So why they don't allow the 60 days?

Because they do not know what the rules are or just don't want to do it.

So the rule doesn't matter, it's up to the officer, damn! Not lucky. I'm trying to find another officer from anywhere to explain to Ratchaburi. Now my wife is trying Pattaya office

Hard to tell what you're here on as they didn't fill in the "VISA Class" on the stamp.

Here's one they did properly.
