Money in Bank - How Long?

Featured Replies

I am reading conflicting info about the time the 400K needs to be in the bank when converting Retirement Stamp 1st time to one based on marriage.  Is it 2 or 3 months prior to date of application?

Many thanka

The 400k baht has to be in the bank for 2 months on the day you apply for the extension.

I ask because I read recently that when converting normal Retirement Stamp (Non Imm O) to Non Imm O (based on marriage) that it had to be in bank 3 months then in subsequent years it was two months.

The old rule was two months for the first extension, and three for subsequent.

The current rule is TWO MONTHS for first and all subsequent.

Of course it's always possible there may a few outlier provincial offices still incorrectly enforcing based on the old rules.

2 months

Just false info. There is no between what you want to do and a normal extension application.

He is asking about a extension based upon marriage. There has never been 60 days for the first extension and then 3 months after that for that type of extension.
