Ed visa after Non B visa

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, i have been living in Thailand for 1 year on a non B visa and with a work permit. I just renewed my work permit 3 weeks ago but my extension needs to be renewed in one month from now. However, i am planning to leave my job this week and remain in Thailand as a student. Shall i absolutely cancel both my work permit and my Non B visa before applying for an Ed visa or it doesn't matter?

Thank you.

Your extension ceases to be valid on the day you stop work.

I hope you do OK. Frankly be very careful where you apply for the ed visa. It could be interpreted that with previous work permit you are going to continue working in some way.

I would not fly to say Saigon. Try country where easy to enter by border if it goes ass up

You need to have your work permit and extension of stay canceled before leaving the country to avoid problems.

Your extension ceases when your work permit is cancelled, not necessarily the day you stop work.
