I use Google Chrome, and have all the appropriate  spell check settings set in my preferences (English, check spelling, advanced spell check rather than basic)

lately some common words where only one letter is misspelled such as an I  Instead of an E , spell check does not recognise the common word. In this instance I had intentionally misspelled the word letter (i wrote letter)  first it wanted to correct it to "litter", later when I wrote the word correctly and then wrote it incorrectly in parenthesis with one T  it gave me the correct spelling, then sometimes I misspell a word with more than one inappropriate letter and it gives me the correct spelling.  Anyone has any idea what is going on with spellcheck in google?

PS: if I type an incorrect word in the url window it always corrects me and asks did you mean "correctly spelled word"

Very strange.
