How do I send a 32"TV from Bangkok to Surin?

Featured Replies

Used 32" TV, Grandma wants it.

I don't have the box anymore.

Where can I get a box? The shops for boxes next to Huachiew Hospital don't have a suitable size.

Is there a way to send it without a box?

(We don't have anybody who drives to Surin)

Post office will box it up and forward. I took a full size suitcase in there today and two of the lads spent 10 minutes taping boxes together to fit.

Improvise as you don't want it damaged in transit.  Go to HomePro and ask the staff for a suitable box, if available, and pack it with bubble wrap.

Yup no problem and they have bubble wrap. If you want an extra couple of wraps just tell them. Never a problem with dealing with post offices here.

Post Office are usually very good, but you now have people like Kerry available too.(as an option)

Kerry didn't have a big enough box

I'd rather pack it myself, if I'm honest.

Yeah I gotta say I am a fan of the Thai post. Very impressed with their service. I sent a Mountain bike (a nice one) to Ubon without a box and they really wrapped it up nice.

32 inch tv pop into tesco or big c, ask them

Post Office.

I got some large boxes from Global House, just asked if i can take some from their trash, was no problem.

Homepro, Big C etc. might work as well, but maybe not all shops allow it because they can sell it, so ask the staff if it's ok.

Usually shops for boxes (which you seem to know, because in your OP you said they didn't have boxes in your required size) also sell bubble wrap.

buy a new one ^^

Your avatar + " if I'm honest.  " = Oxymoron !  Sorry mods, but that is funny.

I was thinking that, with the low prices now it probably wouldn't cost a lot more to buy a new one than sending the old one by EMS.

I just checked.

A comparable new one is 6000, cheaper than i thought.

But why throw away the old one (it's working fine)?

Shipping is certainly less than 6000.

I got a free box from BigC, they were going to throw it away.

Bubble wrap from Homepro.

Styrofoam from our garbage.

Post office Phrakhanong were unhelpful as usual,  told me post office would not accept TV, and didn't have suitable boxes.

Sent by DHL for 10 baht plus 107 baht insurance,  see the DHL thread.

Arrived today.

Grandma is very happy.
