I use this one in the living room now, does up to 130 sqm. Think it was 15k THB on Lazada, can recommend if someone has a bigger space and searches for something with a lot of throuput.

It has no smartair stuff but does a good job according to pm2.5 meter. I just run it on full speed all the time (you cant really hear it, but might be too loud for bedrooms).

  • I went a little over the top and purchased the IQAir 250, costs about 12 times more that the one you're referring too, but it's the Rolls Royce of air purifiers, i.e. hospital grade, and I am extremel

  • Although my Xiaomi 2s air purifier is working fine and communicates with the smartphone app, the same cannot be said for other Xiaomi iot devices in my home, such as the desk lamp and induction cooker

  • Maybe at the lower end of the scale, IQAir is up there and they maintain the up there price, noting anyone looking to fork out the 60,000 or so baht should not buy one off the internet as they do not

Xiaomi now offers an Air Purifier 3, which is comparable to the 2s in size and price, but covers 20% more area with some other minor improvements.  The 3 could compete with the Pro at a lower price point.

I believe the 2s, 3 and Pro all use the same filter so other than a modified fan air thruput at the high setting they would seem to be the same?...

Also if you order get the global version which has a US plug

What difference do you notice before and after air purifier? does it mean all windows and doors must be kept closed at all times?

What happens when you go outside, surely you're exposed to the poor air quality then so is it really worth it?

And in case anyone gets the Chinese version like I did, you have to set your region to "chinese mainland" in the app to be able to connect to it.

does anyone know which of the replaceable filters are best for the pollution here? The green, purple, etc. versions all seem okay and they do not really specify which is best.

The burning season seems to be upon us already, and it is bad.

They all do a similar job of removing the PM2.5 matter... You might opt for the formaldehyde filter if you are in a newly constructed condo/house as it would in theory help remove the off gassing of many modern furniture & building materials... But personally I think they are all the same and just trying to up sell you to a more expensive filter
