If he'd posted "Thais of Indian descent" would that have made you feel better?

I wouldn't put much credence in what these guys say as the lead spokesman has been an Indian posing as a farang according to a recent article... pathetic...

Give it time and you will have farang posing as Indians to bring in business.  ????

Nana, now owned by Paul Hayward, Panthera.

Has been since 2012. Owned by Nana Partners Ltd. which is a partnership between Panthera and the Fico corporation. Bought for $25m. Fico is the Indian connection.

See post above, Wiki also has some information.

Haven't been to Nana Plaza in a few years.

How's it doing these days, under the control of this group?

I too haven't bothered, my last couple of trips to Bangkok I was on Cowboy.... I think Pattaya is far better.

Nana was far better than Pattaya in the 90s, but it's gone downhill in recent years. It's still better than Cowboy, but probably a personal preference.

Only reason I went to Pattaya was cost. Half the price of Nana.

At 280 baht a lady drink in Nana Plaza, I'm not surprised.

I wasn't aware of that, as I didn't buy lady drinks after the ladies became too expensive to rent.

I didn't pay that price.  Another member posted that was the price of lady drinks in Nana these days.  I can not verify.

Which year it will be completed, or which year the tourists will go to it?  ????

Same thing.......initially!

People always go to something new just to check it out, but sustainability is quite another matter.

Interesting idea, probably a no go zone for falang because the women tend to be larger

Exactly what I was thinking, 80-100 kilo pole dancers.  There’s an image that will stick with you.

Have they started the building work yet ?

The center is already build since long time

the new project is just the interior redevelopment

for some premises, some weeks\days are enough to do that

but still i don't see exactly what is the customer target here

for the ones who spend some money in bars and clubs

the asians are in soi 1\6 and central marina area

the westerners are in the soi bukhao area

and the indians are in the second part of walking street

The Avenue is far for all of these places and there is nothing

else to attract someone in this particular part of the city.

It was one of the reasons of the commercial failure of the place since the begining

I think you are a bit optimistic on the time scale..and is that a no on the work starting yet  ?

The other reasons, no air-conditioning  and (reportedly) high rents that only the big players like Starbug,Macadonuts and the cinema chain could afford.
