The House Speaker’s chief of staff Phongsri Tharaphum and secretary Tankhun Jit-Issara on Wednesday (December 18) hosted a press conference to address a recent event during another press conference in the room set aside for media briefings at Parliament when MPs from Future Forward Party locked lips.

“There are rules for using the press conference room that prohibit inappropriate language, insults, slander and indecent behaviour,” said Tankhun. “Furthermore, users must maintain polite manners at all time in the establishment and follow other stated rules strictly.”

Tankhun further added that in the past months there have been violations of House of Parliament’s rules in the conference room from time to time, especially the unauthorized “live broadcasting” via social media, prompting the announcement that inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

“We are not trying to restrict anyone’s freedom of speech or actions, we just want everyone to respect the rules of the establishment,” he added.

Thanyawat Kamolwongwat, spokesperson of House of Parliament’s committee for children, women, elderly persons, disabled persons, ethnic groups and LGBT also issued an apology for actions of Future Forward Party MPs at the House of Parliament’s press conference room.

“The committee did not plan for such incident to happen and we are sorry that the incident affected the image of the House of Parliament,” he said. “I will admonish the persons involved and make sure that such an incident never happens again.”

Make love not war, a kiss is better than shooting people, something the army has proved rather good at in the past

The dinosaurs most be fuming, two gay guys making out in the same building as them.  Can we expect a sexual orientation re-education camp to open soon?

Something tells me, there's more going on with this "story" than the sparse details The Nation is reporting above....

Disgusting hypocrisy and prudishness from the 19th century.  Are there no real problems to tackle in thailand of the 21st century?

From this day on forward, my chihuahua cannot kiss my wife!!

"LGBT activists are broadening their push for an amendment to the Civil and Commercial Code in a bid to allow people to legally wed, regardless of gender.“

" After submitting the proposal, two men who represented the group hugged and kissed each other to symbolise their rights -- prompting criticism from some who questioned whether that was appropriate at the  parliament, a hallowed institution."

The nation article is also the only one out here that pixled the picture of the kiss, dinosaurs will be dinosaurs ????

OMG!!! This really goes beyond pathetic. They just stoop lower and lower everyday. It's mind blowing!!!

Who kissed who?

Indeed. Much as I want the dinosaurs gone, I would not advocate taking the heroin dealers, landgrabbers, constitution screwers and other corrupt people in parliament to be taken outside and shot. Jail would do just nicely.

The Nations report is indeed lacking.  Various other media report about this incident taking place at a proposal to the committee to change the law and allow same-sex marriages.

If that came about it would be the only place in the country where the rules are respected.

They would much prefer a** kissing!
