Apirat Kongsompong is the same stubborn stone head like his father - except possibly the "mia noi" issue. He has not understood his particular position on the organization chart called "Thailand".

Apirat Kongsompong is EXECUTIVE, i.e. he executes orders he gets from the government. The government is also EXECUTIVE as the latter gets its orders from the voters.

That, at least, how "democracy" works on the rest of planet Earth!

Unfortunately, the government does not get it's orders from the people. The government takes it's orders from someone else entirely. That's what make it a 'Thai-style' democracy.

Same as it ever was.

How do these mental midgets rise so high! Truly embarrassing for the nation

Perhaps he is unaware that laws are made and cancelled in every government.

Calling sanctity law is like declaring holy Prayut, surely the joke of the year

Hi there friend...

If you need a hint then there are more important things for you to learn about Thailand first.

But of course we both know that isn't what you really want to do at all... what you want to do is precipitate an indiscretion, like many internet trolls do. Dream on.

Yes it is, but it's completely consistent with their culture. Really, the Thai culture is the villain of the piece and imho is the sine qua non behind every single bit of ridiculousness in Thailand, of which there are many.

The Thai people are not going to develop as long as it is in place. And we should remember who put it in place and why and when. It is not meant to develop the Thai people, it was designed and developed by those who have fed at the trough so they can keep feeding at the trough.

In my opinion, this was the sin of Thaksin. Forget whatever else is said about it, he was ousted because he was improving the lot of Isaan folk, and encouraging them to have thoughts and dignity. The labour pool and therefore the continued wealth of the amart was in jeopardy so he had to go. The Shin haters will protest and we all know who they are, but it seems to me to be self-evident truth.

But the wheel is turning and we approach the time when it has enough energy to keep turning under it's own momentum, trying to stop it will be a dangerous undertaking. I would suggest 10 years but it may be sooner if Thai society continues to collapse under the weight of renewed exploitation Prayuth-style.
