Close to 5m passengers expected at AOT airports from Dec 26 to Jan 5

The Airports of Thailand (AOT) expected a total of 4.93 million passengers passing through its six airports, from December 26 to January 5, increasing 2.29 per cent from the same period last year, AOT president Nitinai Sirismatthakarn said today (December 20).

NEW DELHI/LUCKNOW (Reuters) - Six people died and dozens were injured on Friday as Indian police clashed with thousands of protesters who again took to the streets in several parts of the country to oppose a new law they say discriminates against Muslims.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (Reuters) - Boeing Co's new astronaut capsule on Friday failed to reach the orbit of the International Space Station, U.S. space agency NASA said, cutting short a critical unmanned test mission in the embattled aerospace giant's race to send humans to the station.

PARIS (Reuters) - French telecoms group Orange <ORAN.PA> and its former CEO Didier Lombard were guilty of "moral harassment" that prompted a spate of suicides during a restructuring at the company in the late 2000s, a Paris court ruled on Friday.

EGCO Group expands footprint in Taiwan

Search continues for crewmember of speedboat accident in Phang Nga

LONDON (Reuters) - British prosecutors said on Friday they had decided to charge the wife of a U.S. diplomat over a fatal car crash in England and to seek her extradition, a decision that "disappointed" Washington.

Severity of drought next year likely to equal that of 2015-16 in Thailand

Thailand is at risk of a drought like that in 2015 and 2016, while the volume of rainfall, from this month through May, is forecast to be 5-10% lower than normal, said Mr. Seri Suparathit, director of the Centre of Climate Change and Disaster at Rangsit University, today (Friday).
