Mc Donald's Thailand crazy price increase

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

Once in a while I used to go at McDonald's and get a double big Mac burger set for 215 baht (+10 baht upsize). The other day I went and they wanted to charge me 265 baht. I laughed at their face and turned away immediately thinking it was a stunt of that particular restaurant. I went to mcthai website and to my surprise I saw that the prices increased from 25% to even almost 70% for some items. Bye mcdonalds, I will not miss you anyway.

  • Weeeeell, I wouldn't eat Thai street food if it were free, at least with McD's stuff is clean, and the staff have a toilet and washing hands facilities eh...

  • Not always considering the sh...ty oil, sugar, MSG and bad meat they use.

  • I am surprised people still go to McDonald and eat that junk food at exorbitant prices.   Thai food are much healthier and cheaper.

Is MSG natural? I guess sugar is.

I gave up junk food a long time ago, suffice to say when I am out in say Central Plaza for example, I will head downstairs with the wife and buy me a nice meal in the food court, like rice with stir fried vegetables with cashew nuts and an egg sunny side up on the top for 80 baht of $4 Australian.

Did you know a McDonald's burger is made so it does not decompose, even after 10 years and your eating that $hit, see link below, eat clean, it's better for you and cheaper for you with less sugar and salts to clog those arteries and even give you diabetes.

What I would do for a McDonald's quarter pounder with cheese, not ????

These brands are positioned as "premium" brands here, same as KFC.

They don't want to be cheaper, but i have good news, you can get a real burger for 200 baht with dry aged steak...

It's really easy, just buy somewhere else. MCD and co prices are so unimportant, i don't know who gets riled up over that.

What really matters is gasoline, taxi, real estate, rental, insurance, hospital and TAXES etc prices.

Do you know how your food got to the plate, and what's in it...?

I can't even eat a normal big mac because when i'm half way everything slides out the bun....

I would order some more mc deluxe burgers instead.

I hope you don't really believe that about McDonald's, and I would never eat street food, in a mall yes, but would have to be the same place each rare occasion, because I am over having the runs, and having drip lines in my veins, and the likes.

Fortunately for me, I have a wife that loves to cook for me anytime, including home made burgers with home baked bread, ground beef with pepper, caramelized onions, egg and melting Mozzarella cheese, to die for, yeh, love my Tiruk, I told her a long times ago that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, she took it hook, bait and sinker ????

Absolutely, plastic gloves on hands is the first thing I look for, hair in one of those hair holders and they cook it in front of me, everything cut on the spot, they know me and always smile, although one time I decided to have some red pork noodle soup and the chef asked my wife if there was a problem with his food at all, with my wife telling him, not at all, my husband felt like a change, but your dish is his preferred with him sighing in relief, true story, suffice to say I am super a na l when it comes to eating out, hygiene is of the utmost importance to me, which a lot of Thai cooks lack and my immune system is not at their level and never will be.

I think you are confusing venues with your normal hangout, you know, the place where a dustbin full of water with a pooh stained scoop is in the loo to manually flush your offering, whist rinsing off your hands and making your feet wet...????

Yeah, much better to eat Thai food that has been fried in lavish quantities of cheap oils and spiced so intensely that you can't taste it. They have the best cooking oil in the world to use at a decent price (coconut oil), but instead they use palm oil.

On a serious note, suggesting that all Western food is garbage is a ridiculous comment. Most of my food is Western food that I cook myself, and it is far from being garbage. Obviously we use much of the same produce, but just cook it better.

I have no idea why anyone would eat McDonalds. If I did need an occasional McDonald's burger, I wouldn't complain about a 50 baht increase. It's a treat for some people, right?

Theres a lot you don't understand, you carry on munching on your chili's..????

Troll posts and replies have been removed. This topic is about the price increase at McDonalds, not about the people that eat there.

Please remember, the discussion is about the post, not about the poster.

I love a McDonalds meal now and again. A bit expensive here though.

I am satisfied where I eat at the food mall, as I said which is very rare, maybe once a fortnight when we are shopping, same place, no stomach problems, and I am content with what I see hit the plate, believe what you want.

We opened a restaurant so we could eat out safely ????????

I've never been one to shy away from street food but lately I find my stomach turning when I walk around the meat section in Makro, it's stinking sometimes !!

Reckon I could happily go veggie in the very near future...

Happy Xmas y'all

Is that why it is more successful than any Thai restaurant?
