The most beautiful part of Thailand in my humble opinion. This is where I would like to grow old in a Hammock someday

Beautiful are and pics. But I need a bigger city near me. Also it´s the poorest province in Thailand.

Very quiet. Not much variety foodwise.

I thought Issan was the poorest province in Thailand.

I spent the first 20 years of my life in Rural Canada, far more boring than Rural Thailand in my opinion.

I don't find the Thai's here poor. The karen yes, very! But the Thai's all seem ok. I think Issan has vastly poorer areas, at least from what I have seen recently.

I am pretty easy to please. I live in a village now, doesn't bother me any. Quiet is fine by me.

I would agree with the Issan aspect though. I don't find it any poorer here than other provinces in the North of Thailand. Seems similar to Lampang in many ways

Rural Canada with six months of snow, and cabin fever? I get it.

The Isaan is not a province.

I can´t find the article where it was written that Mae Hong Son is the poorest province.

yeah exactly, so occasional boredom is fine by me. There are also some Refugee camps and MANY migrant children I would like to help in MHS province. Mae Hong Son really is my favorite part of the country funny enough. Granted I live in Tak now so I guess most any province is a massive step up from here.

Mae Hong Son is beautiful, but has serious air quality issues from January to May. Such as shame.

I live in Tak now, so I have all of Northern Thailand burning and all of Myanmar burning. last few weeks have been horrible at times. Driving back today from Sukothai it was unreal how bad the air quality was.

I won't hold it against you. I know the feeling when I can't find a reference.

Correction, area not province. I think you know what I meant.

Yes, area. I think there are some provinces in the Isaan in the Top 10 of the poorest areas, but some provinces are not so poor.

There was a point years ago I thought living rural was the way to go here, after three years of it I changed my mind - to each their own. Beautiful pics btw..

Mae Hong Son is really nice but your photos are photo shopped kinda like girls do on thaifriendly

MHS is nice for a visit but lots of other places up north i'd prefer,  Nan & Chiang Khan are 2.

Agree with the above, ur over post productioning ur work
