Trumps opinion on Net  isnt relevant to this story , although Trump and Boris being targeting by left wingers is indeed relevant because it shows that the charges may be politically motivated, as Net states that they are .

It shows that the left are going after right wing leaders to get them removed from power by the court system

Yeah, right...that’s what’s happening...

Nothing to do with the fact netanyahu has real charges to face based on his actions.

It’s all a world wide conspiracy.

The merest hint of bribery and corruption should be avoided as a politician.

If he accepted any personal gift, no matter how small, from those who stood to gain from his patronage, then he has charges to face.

Let the courts decide.

Gifts are quite common in the business and political world .

This could be his political opponents trying to oust him by using technicalities .

If it is against Israeli law to do as he did, he has to face the courts.

Quite so.

History will judge him accordingly.

In the meantime he has to weasel out of these corruption charges.

Did you happen to also read that one is a leader of the most powerful nation on earth and the other the most resilient innovative and advanced nations on earth? and comments such as yours and others on this site only shows how vulgar and loutish those comments are...

So, that must be a good enough reason to let them go unchallenged?

All three also are trying to weaken the judicial power by changing the law. Bit like what happened in Germany in the thirties. Obviously nothing at all to worry about.....

Innocent people have no need to seek immunity.

The ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in 1947, 48, 67 and continually right up to yesterday
http://jfjfp.com/israel-demolishes-newly-built-houses-of-palestinian-families-on-new-years-day/

You don't have to kill every last member of a race for it to be genocide. There are 13 million Palestinians today who ought to be living in Palestine, but now living in refugee camps and the greater diaspora who were ethnically cleansed to make way for mainly European colonizing immigrants. Where is the right to self determination for Palestinians in their own land?

Yes, but the number of Palestinians has greatly increased, one of the worlds biggest increases in population, these Jews arent very good at this genocide lark, are they ?

They're incredibly bad at it!

The obsessive Israel demonization brigade can't help themselves. Presumably they could if they wanted to criticize Israeli government policies in a dispassionate way and persuade people with REASON. Instead they resort to endless inflammatory provocations -- genocide, Jews are the same as Nazis, Palestinians are all angels, Zionism is racism, Israel never had a reason to exist at all, etc.

This thread is about Netyanyahu and his legal issues .

Once again , any mention of Israel about any subject and you go on a rant about Palestinians and Israels right  to exist .

I am pleased that you have previously stated that you are not an anti-Semite or that you dont dislike Jews and get any allegations deleted  , as your comments should be for going off topic

are you serious?

Yes, worth remembering that the UK Gov had a slush fund to pay off Saudi officials to secure trade deals, which ran into 100's millions $ .

Thats the way business works in the middle east (and the rest of the world)

"His announcement means the forthcoming election campaign is likely to focus on whether he should be granted immunity or step down to stand trial.
A recent poll indicated that a majority of Israelis oppose giving him immunity."

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/benjamin-netanyahu-corruption-immunity-israel-a9266946.html

Lets hope that revulsion with corruption translates to the ballot box.

Gantz's Blue and White party is opposed to immunity, so is Avigdor Lieberman's. If they form an alliance with the Joint List, they could be rid of Netanyahu once and for all.

Something some should consider after reading posts that defend net with no basis in facts.

You realise the difference between, using public resources for the interest of national security and using public resources for personal gain?

I would like to see Bibi fail in getting immunity. He should lose his leadership and should probably be in prison. But it's fair to say underestimating Bibi's political prowess is usually a losing game.

Would you like to see him get found guilty in Court first, or should they just throw him in jail without a trial ?

More likely he has changed jobs and is in a different Israeli government position now.
