Swift Code and IBAN number

My brother is trnasferring money from the UK to my Kasikorn account and he says he needs the Swift Code and an IBAN number. As far as I know, I only have to send the Swift Code, I thought the IBAN number was only for transfers to Europe.

Does anyone know if I'm right?

Correct IBAN is only needed for Europe, transcontinental transfers are done by SWIFT.

Only swift. I do transfers all over Europe to Thailand, and there is only the Swift Code, Name of Account Holder, and the Amount that is needed.
