Thai media reported that police and fire services attended a fire in a bungalow in the La Bella Case housing estate in Bongkot Soi 7 at 6 am this morning.

In house number 414/26 they saw lots of smoke.

A 49 year old Filipino man called Angel was running around shepherding dogs to safety.

Inside the house was 81 year old Swiss national Henry H. who was carried out and soon pronounced dead from smoke inhalation.

Amporn, 56, said that the Swiss man and the Filipino lived together. She had received a call from the Filipino that he couldn't breathe.

She said that the Henry suffered from paranoia and was convinced that everyone was out to get him.

She thought he turned on the gas then lit it, reported 77kaoded.

Police are investigating.
