EC to probe Future Forward party for alleged violation of Political Party Act

 

 

Apparently undaunted by the Constitutional Court’s recent ruling against the dissolution of the Future Forward party, Dr. Natthaporn Toprayoon, who initiated those proceedings, will again ask the court to disband the party, this time via the Election Commission (EC), for alleged violation of the Political Party Act.

 

A former advisor to the chief ombudsman, Dr. Natthaporn claims that the Constitutional Court’s ruling on January 21st, which cleared the Future Forward party of having committed any offence which would justify the party’s dissolution, opened the door for appropriate agencies, such as the EC, to investigate the party for having committed any acts which could be deemed as detrimental to democratic system under monarchy, in violation of Section 92(2) of the Political Party Act.

 

He said that he has submitted all the evidence he originally presented to the Constitutional Court, to the EC to start a new probe into Future Forward, claiming that, under Section 92 (2), a party which embraces an ideology contrary to constitutional monarchy is to be judged as being detrimental to democratic rule with the King as head of state.

The FFP movement is similar to grass. Walk on it, cut it, knock it down and it will spring right back up again.

Change is coming. Fight the next election fair and square and let the party with the most legitimate votes rule.

I think that the younger generations won't be hoodwinked by propaganda around particular entities and systems like those in past generations clearly were.

Hey Fasto, instead of chasing shadows with a defeated Future Forward party, try looking into the current Esteemed Leaders failure to cite the full Oath of Allegiance when he was sworn in...

 

...and then dig deeper and announce why he did this...or you too scared to report the facts?

It may well work this time but I don't share your confidence due to international face saving and the potential for stirring the bubbling unrest.If this guy can't produce fresh evidence I suspect the courts will try to avoid causing unrest which could spell the end for the current Trictator.

Yes indeed, the ageing pro-military elitists think it is their divine right to run the country irrespective of a so-called democratically elected parliament. By the time they have passed on however, FFP will be a major player in politics.

Will they never give up?  There comes a time when enough is enough.

This guys job is to discredit Future Forward even if they have no evidence people will start to believe it.
This tactic has been used many times in the past and people still fall for it.
