  • Actually, I am quite surprised at the potential power in this ultra primitive bow. The problem is with arrow that has lots of knots in it and is not too straight. The feathers are not that straight ei

  • I have a homemade bow and arrow that I practice with in the fields out back. Nobody has sent anything  , possibly because I haven't hit anything yet.

Sorry, I never found a conclusive answer to my satisfaction. Two different Thai agencies came up as possible regulatory authorities but given the language barrier coupled with what appears to be vague laws, I have not been able to find a definitive answer. I am guessing and this is only a guess; they are not specifically outlawed and not actively or vigorously regulated. There may be some requirement to register a crossbow with some agency that doesn't have the means to enforce their jurisdiction. But please don't take my word for it.

I would guess if a "falang" owns one it is highly regulated and illegal and if a Thai owns one it's fine.

Seeing how pellet guns are reulated I would be even more convinced a xbow is. In my home country I got my first pellet gun at 7. After 17 yrs here I am still amazed at how backward this place is.

Thanks for the reply
