Thailand is ranked 101st out of 180 countries on Transparency International's 2019 Corruption Perception Index (CPI), falling from 99th place in 2018 and 96th in 2017.

No major surprise there. When the Junta stole power they swore one of their top priorities was to stamp out corruption. Naturally, as with everything else they put their hand to, like returning happiness to the people they failed dismally. Thais see those at the top creaming off whatever they can get, so it is no surprise that everyone is getting in on the act and the country is sliding ever backward and down.
