Doxadosin - Do I need a doctor's prescription?

This may seem a naive question to some, but I'm new to taking regular medication so I'm not familiar with the routine. I've been put on Doxadosin 4mg for minor prostate issues (BPH). The medication is working very well and I am symptom free.

So my question is, am i free to buy this medication directly from a pharmacy without having to visit the doctor's office every time I run short. I really hate hospitals and would rather avoid visiting one if I can. Naturally, I would return to see the doctor should anything change.

Thanks guys for your advice.

I get mine from the local government hospital.

50bht 'unregistered' fee to see the doctor every 3 months, then 1bht per 2mg pill from the hospital Pharmacy.

Totally fixes me too, but I'm on 5mg/day.

They give me 3 months of pills every time I go, total bill under 300bht.

Think I'll ask for 6 months next time I go.

Never tried to buy them at the Pharmacy, as I don't see how the pills could be any cheaper.

Yeah, you take it before you go to bed so any dizziness happens when you're asleep.

Get drunk in the afternoon/evening, pills before bed, no problems.

Don't get out of bed too fast for a wee in the night.
