Forza2002
I'm curious as to why San Kamphaeng is consistently reporting high levels of AQI, daily it's one of the worst affected districts in Chiang Mai. I live in San Kamphaeng so would be interested if anybody can offer some 1st hand information as to why? thanks...

Samuel Smith
I live out that way. I think it's worse further east, towards Mae On. I think the wind from the south blows smoke that way, & it gets trapped by the hills. Also, a lot of dairy herds out that way, & they burn stuff to create smoke to keep the mossies away. Thirdly, once the forest burning occurs, usually at night, the smoke settles in the valley. I had pm2.5 reading of 93 this morning, same as aqi 171. Same as most days.
