After living in Thailand for 15 years, retired now and married to a younger 55 years old professional Thai woman for more than 10 years, I still not understanding why some foreigners keep looking for bar girls, very young and sometimes ugly and immature girls in need of a father figure, or women without any education. I do not know if is just myself, but I believe that Thailand has the most beautiful mid age ladies in the world.

And not, I am not rich, even close to be a good catch in that matter.

 Not everyone wants to come here to marry or even want a long term relationship. 

For those just looking for a good time I’m sure they are not too bothered about how educated and  immature their purchase is. As for the wanting a father figure that may even be an attraction for some. 
 

I don't myself agree that Thailand has the most “beautiful Mid Age ladies” but each to their own.

You are wright. The wrong side is that she makes more money than myself..and she did help me this year in make the deposit in my bank account for immigration. Now she got my for life!

Me either, I think the OP maybe thinks he's pulled off something of a coup, by marrying a lass who is very much 'left on the shelf' by Thai standards. I'd be asking why a good looking lass is still unwed at 55...

Have you got a Professional Thai woman? That might be the important detail we've missed. 

Better looking much younger versions available for 1k once you have their phone number regardless of what they charge in gogo. 

Had 2 phone calls last night from regulars just wanting to hang  in a nice condo during bar closure 

 

Don't understand marriage here. Everyone I know are no longer happy after a few years.. Buddhism plays a big part in that

I think being an Ozzie is a big help too! 

Basically, they're thin. Full stop. Doesn't really apply to me as I like a fuller figure. How I ended up in Thailand is beyond me, should be in Brazil or somewhere.

Usually they're so bonkers, no Thai guy could stand living with them.

You could probably say the same for any attractive woman left single after age 30.

(Unless her husband died unexpectedly in an accident)

 I always say "you have not being yelled at , until you have being yelled at by an Asian chick"  When my wife gets real mad at me, I run for the hills.

I know that nothing , however reasonable,  I can do and say will help me.

Exactly. I had a fling with a teacher who was 35, pretty as a picture, smart, own money etc, but mad as a balloon. Full inquisition every time I went out alone, spying on me when I was in my neighbourhood, and so on. Thank **** she never followed me when I went to Bangkok or Pattaya....

When she thought I'd been up to no good, she sent me a photo of herself crying, so that put a cap on that one. 

it was like dating a high school lass at times.

I gave up on that one, left her to some other sap with more patience than I had, who I understand also did a bunk eventually. 

Good for you Mozarella, be happy and enjoy life together. Some of us just lucky.

To find a good lady here in Thailand you need luck and in the best case live here. And in addition you should not be a sex addict. After knowing her for about one year I started a relationship with a Thai lady (she never worked at a bar). But despite this I went with her to 3 different clinics for all health checks. In addition I cared with a regular injection that she will not get pregnant.

 

But now to the relationship. I learned a lot about Thailand because of her. And I traveled with her to all the the places I wanted to see one more time in my life - in Asia and in Europe. USA wasn't possible because of the visa for her. I would not have done this alone. And I am so happy that I did this when I was still young enough. Today I am not fit enough anymore.

 

The relationship lasted 10 years. After 10 years the relationship got boring for both and we separated. There was never a fight. She never ever asked me for money and even now after almost 20 years she is still my best and perhaps only friend. I am grateful for every minute with her even if not every minute was a pleasure for me. Thai ladies are not always easy but in there opinion always right and never guilty....

This forum used to be full of (knob waving) threads like this until it became something of a cliche, that every member seemed to have married a (Thai/Chinese) Colonel's' daughter with an MBA from Harvard, never had to spend a baht of his own money, while spending his days being ferried around Bangkok in her BMW/Merc/Porsche...Maybe this is the newer incarnation of that sort of post.

There is no such thing as a young 55 year old woman.

I also don't know why some guys prefer ugly or old bargirls. But look at a pretty young bargirl and play with her and you should get the idea why guys don't want a woman who is 30 years older to play with.

And about education: I have enough old male friends to talk about complicated things - in case I want to talk about rocket science. But most of the time I don't need that kind of conversation. 

I just used Google Image Search with her picture. That the result. Same same - or at least similar.

Before meeting my wife, I had lots of "encounters" with various types of Thai women. My overall impression was that 98% of them were immature compared to their age/education. Many of them beautiful and great fun to spend time with. But I for sure also quickly learnt that a so-called "good educated" Thai-woman, does not automatically mean less problems or drama. Often it was actually more drama.

 

I have known bar-girls that were much less "crazy" and in most ways much smarter, than many of the educated women I dated. I have seen friends married to bar-girls having great relationships and friends who married so-called "good girls" ending up in marriage-hell. I think it is impossible to generalise. It is all about the two people who meet and the exceptions to each other and their relationship. And I guess the same goes for relationships in all other countries.
