Ubc Prime Tv

Recommended Posts

Hi

Since the recent upgrades on UBC where all the chanels were changed, the quality of Prime TV programmes has been terrible - they sound as if they have been re-recorded about 50 times.

Is anyone else having this problem or is it time for us to get a new TV

I presume you mean reception quality rather than content, in which case I agree with you. We frequently get stutters and pauses in sound and vision which we do not get on other channels. Doubt Prime care much but perhaps BBC might. I can feel an email coming on!

"My Hero" always gives me a chuckle although I would agree its hardly prime! M.O.T.D is a welcome addition on BBC.

My gripe is the quality of the presentation of Premiership football on UBC with the exclusion of John Dykes who I find very professional. The "pundits" simply dont know their a r s e from their elbow(s)!.

Deep breath.................and as for those c u n t s that present Nokia Football Crazy, they all simply need putting down!

It would be nice to see some other sports apart from football ! BBC World now even have 1/2 hour . With hardly any coverage of the world cupcricket , rugby , boxing etc etc

buy ubc today ,in 2 months youve seen everything on it .its a joke all movies after midnight are 30 years old ,you cant see someone smoking or pointing a gun but take a look at thai news you can see brains on the road after accident and they make the murderer hold a wooden gun or knife to show how they did it ,next they will put the price up ,and what happened to eastenders just disappeared not that i really liked it but at least it wasnt rerun day after day :o

Totally agree with you. The programming stinks, at least the movie channels (exluding TCM and MGM) Sent 'em an e-mail telling 'em to cancell my subsription at the end of the current billing period which has already been paid. Wrote back to me asking for a cancellation date.

Replied the last day of the current billing period. lets see what happens. I think I hurt their feeling telling them that their programming sucks.

I like football crazy.. Jamie Yeo can be my cupid stunt any day.

You think the football is bad now? Wait till next season when ESPN and Star Sports lose the rights to show the premiership in Thailand and UBC take over.

Totally agree in teh last 6 months the programming has gone downhill fast, Home Alone 2 and lots of Made for TV movies that I've never even heard of.

I really enjoy some of the TV series like CSI Miami and some of the BBC comedy is appreciated, I would have really enjoyed "Heroes" except there is a commercial break every 5 minutes or so.

Also do we need two True logos on some of the channels?

Just need a competitor to show up I guess.

I agree with you nevermind the quality of the picture what about the content. I have just downgraded from platinum to gold because I was sick of My Family and My Hero if that is the level of intelligence in the UK now then I am so glad I moved here.

The way it is going I will cut UBC off and just watch DVD's and buy decent books at leat i won't be subjected to made for tv movies and mindnumbing comedies.

Stop complaining!

- some of us can't get UBC (not allowed in my apartment block) and would gladly pay 2,000 baht per month for the privilge! :o

. the football, oh I'd love that.

. Rugby matches, oh the joy, I can only imagine.

. BBC news, what, is it better than the Fox news channel that I get...

. Cricket World cup, mmmmm.

. Other, non Thai channels, fandabbydoubledozy.

I know that UBC do an absolutly <deleted> job, but it is far better than nothing. So count your blessings.

How about going out and watching sport with other people in bars for free but then again you might have to socialise if i was that worried I would go out and make friends and a whole new world might open up for you

No need for such unpleasant comments.

I happen to like sitting at home on a Saturday afternoon, with a pizza, maybe a couple of beers, maybe even a friend ot two, and watch sport. Do you mind?

I said that UBC is <deleted>, not good. - I also said that they are far better than nothing.

Previously I had UBC, it was <deleted>, but I often watched it, especially on a Saturday afternoon, as I like to relax after a hard week at work. Then I moved, I don't have UBC now, I wish I did.

On the UBC sports channels next Saturday afternoon you have a choice of, football, snooker, golf, kickboxing and motorsport.

Later in the evening I'd have a choice of Italian, German, Spanish and English football - great. You can check with the lick below.

If you can relax for a second, and try to read, then your posting might make more sense.

Southwest19 - You clearly like to argue, rather than talk sense.

The complete list was - football, snooker, golf, kickboxing and motorsport. These were to reference sports that I like to watch on a Saturday afternoon.

Either:-

1) Read and debate with common sense, a tad of intelligence and some decorum.

or

2) Go any play with somebody else.

Going by your original comments all you mention is rugby, cricket and football I am not someone who likes to argue just point out when i do not agree with you.

Going back to the original topic I think UBC is poor value for money and if you think differently with your mate then I think you maybe in the minority!! PS Good luck with the kickboxing on Saturady afternoon after a hard weeks work!

Southwest19 - I think that UBC is crap value for money. I really dislike the company. But, I've lived in London for thirty years loving sport at the weekend, and UBC is the best option here because they own all the sports rights and have the only real network.

Sometimes, I go out and watch sport at bars, but sometimes I like to watch it at home. For example, in about ten minutes I'll sit down with my keg of Heineken, a pizza delivery menu and switch on the cable. Sometimes, if I'm lucky I'll get the South African sports channel. Fingers crossed.

If I had UBC, <deleted> value as it is, I'd know that the football was on.

I really enjoyed UBC when American Football was on, I got 4 or 5 games every week! That is the same I would get if I were back in the US. Very cool, plus ALL the playoff games. And all the games were shown live and then replayed later in the day with all the commercials cut out!

Also, UBC is very good for Thai channels, when I DID have a girlfriend she really enjoyed it, plus many of the English channels can be switched to Thai language.

Now that I have no football and no girlfriend I do not even turn it on and have not paid the bill in over 3 months. The internet is infinitely more interesting and interactive (and a hel_l of a lot cheaper) than the 1,500/m UBC.
