webfact Posted February 18, 2020 Share Posted February 18, 2020 Online registration of intellectual property launched By THE NATION The Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) has recently opened an online service for registration of intellectual property as one of its service improvements, Deputy Commerce Minister Weerasak Wangsuphakijkosol said. The department’s director-general, Thosapone Dunsuputra, said that online registration is faster and more convenient than document registration. “Besides, the property owners can check the status of their intellectual products around the clock,” he added. Importantly, Thosapone explained that the properties registered online will be approved quicker than those properties registered through document. “After the properties are approved, their owner can receive the copyright certification as a digital file,” he added.
