Democracy Restoration Group and Thai Lawyers for Human Rights and iLaw, hosted a debate under the topic of ‘What is Citizens’ Place, When Judges are Powerful’ at Thammasat University on Wednesday (February 19).

Panelists at the event included Asst Prof Teera Suteevarangkul and Assoc Prof Anusorn Unno from Thammasat University, Dr Khemthong Tonsakulrungruang from Chulalongkorn University, and Sanhawan Srisod, a member of the International Commission of Justice.

Should have been titled - ‘What is Citizens’ Place, When Judges are Powerfully backed’ !

Serfs until the army is no longer allowed to rule. 

Should replace powerful with corrupt in the title of this seminar.

Judges are not powerful. The mechanism is allowed to work by the proletariat. Same as the army and police and government.

 

If the people decide enough is enough, then it's curtains. The Long March, October Revolution, Khmer Rouge, to name but 3. Nazis were voted into power by the people as they appeared to offer what the vast majority of the populace wanted.
