  • That's what you get when the Supreme Court is staffed with Afirmitive Action individuals such as Sotomeyer.  She's clearly not qualified to be a Supreme Court Justice.

  • So now he wants judges who disagree with him to recuse unbelievable

  • So you don't believe that Sonia Sotomayor's judicial record was sufficient? On what basis? She was eminently qualified based on her judicial scholarship, experience and the weight of her opinions as c

Great shame trump doesn't recluse himself, US would be a better place for administration of Justice without him.

We all can agree this dissenting opinion by the Supreme Court justice was inappropriate; why feel the need to publish it?

SIT

Dissenting opinions are important for critical thinking ( some Trump is not noted for) and indenpdence of the courts, they are not rubber stamps of the administration

So NO we do not ALL agree, it is NOT a totalitarian state (yet)

Obama criticized the Supreme Court at his state of the union address, for a ruling against him. With them sitting in the front row.

Plus numerous other times at news conference and interviews. Did not realize he had such a hard on for the SC till I checked it on the net!

As for the British lad, glad you take so much interest in the US politics. How is the deal going with the EU?

Indeed he did, which was quite a rare thing for someone who has as much knowledge of constitutional law and precedent. You might ask yourself, "what was this decision of the SC that was so egregious that it prompted direct public criticism from a President who seldom did so?" It was the Citizens United case, the one that opened up US politics to unlimited amounts of dark money.

This single decision is what has led to this point, where there's a serious chance that two Billionaires will be facing each other for the Presidency. Politics will never improve so long as money is what drives it. You need people to drive it, people who have been inspired by ideas. Without huge funding for politicians, you actually need to gain support from large numbers of people, not small groups of rich folk who are also able to amplify their messages infinitely with their unlimited access to the press and social media, which again is facilitated by unlimited amounts of money.

Or are you of the opinion that the rich should be given more rights since they've demonstrated their merit by accumulating large amounts of material wealth?

Hey I just made reference to Sotomyer and who she would prefer for a POTUS, a communist or what the left calls a  dictator thats POTUS!

There is according to the news a good chance  she(sottomyer) and others will be deciding   my countries fate  capitalism vs radical dem socialism/communism. I prefer the status quo and millions who gave their lives to defeat freedom from government rule

" We’re not going to win these critical, critical House and Senate races if people in those races have to explain why the nominee of the Democratic Party is telling people to look at the bright side of the Castro regime,” Buttigieg said.

Painting with a broad brush there while taking points from corporate media. Interesting to note that latest talks include some conservatives actually being okay with Bernie. I can't give any sources for that though.

Let's just be frank here, at least as much as it's worth for ThaiVisa here, ha. Your points that are clearly against reforms including those that address income inequality, healthcare, education, green jobs, climate change, and social justices within the countries institutions for rhetoric that just is over used and out of touch..Your welcome to go back to the WW2 Era. Haha, "I prefer the status quo.." Wow...????‍♂️????  FDR didn't like the status quo..

Enjoy your day though!

P.S. The USA already has socialist type programs...

Which they are. I suppose justice roberts should also recuse himself because he gave trump a slap for commenting on judges.

its typical trump, say something nasty, then when they bite back he plays the victim. He sure does get his feelings hurt easily.

perhaps he should not comment on things he knows nothing about. It is up to them if they want to recuse so trump can go pound sand.

Not a very sharp one either

Trump’s the biggest idiot there is but I hope he gets re-elected. Not many things to laugh about on TV nowadays.

Ginsburg, no shame. Just get off the court SFF. Walking dead. Sotomayor about as useful as Thomas. Really too bad these are lifetime appointments.
