Dtac staff back from Japan, five shops being disinfected

Total Access Communication (Dtac) temporarily closed five service shops on Thursday (February 27) after news circulated on social media that some people who worked there had just been to Japan and returned immediately to their jobs.

 

Dtac said in a statement that the closures were intended to help prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

 

The outlets are in Nakhon Si Thammarat and Rayong, Central Surat Thani and, in Bangkok, Central Plaza West Gate and Central Rama 3.

 

The shops will be thoroughly scrubbed and sanitised and reopen on March 13.

 

The employees have been asked to remain in isolation at home for 14 days.

It is getting more and more bizarre. Thousands and thousands of tourists from these countries are arriving every day. This self - quarantine can't be feasible and most people won't follow it.

 

We have 18 teachers and 53 students who are meant to be staying at home in self - quarantine for 14 days as they went to one of the six countries last week in half term. Some of them only transited through an airport and I can bet most of them aren't following this recommendation. 

So will they also ban all tourists from Italy now? They have 500 infected people since a few days, it's spreading very fast there.

Well as long as they are chinese citizens they will be welcome in thailand.
