Immigration chief Lt-Gen Sompong Chingduang gave details of the bust at a briefing yesterday. He said that operatives had offered 1,500 baht for the services of the women. Nine Vietnamese women were arrested along with seven from Tanzania and one Kenyan. They had been loitering around bars, entertainment venues and restaurants in the area. All were taken to Lumpini police station and all will be deported and blacklisted. Sites like Thaifriendly.com are just overrun with freelancers these days. Of course, immigration wouldn't be interested in them since most are Thai.
