We have a tendency to romanticise the past. We see the clean beauty, the untouched nature, and the wild life. But honestly, if you know a bit about the past, it was not that glamorous. Daily struggles, internal and external conflicts, little freedom, and what do we really know about those cultures anyway? Back in Europe we stabbed each other on fields to solve kings’ egos and family problems. Maybe God gave us this opportunity, and we as a population abused a lot of it. At least for those who believes in the word of god, I believe in nature, as god Still, we have less war, less illness, and we live longer than most people before us. No matter what modern life throws at us, much of it still comes down to our choices. So we have to embrace today for what it is. It is not perfect, but for most of us, it does not get much better than this.
