Suriya Juangroongruangkit

Industry Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit declined to confirm a rumour that he was being transferred as Minister of Power in a Cabinet reshuffle planned by the Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha.

Suriya said that he had not been told officially about the reshuffle.

He said that at the moment his duty as Industry Minister was to handle the drought crisis. He also said that he was not likely to be suitable for the position of Power Minister.

A source has leaked that several ministers were likely to lose their current portfolios in the Cabinet reshuffle.

Another minister rumoured to be affected by the proposed reshuffle was Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam but he has denied the rumour..

Well, could the fact that it's still dry in large parts of the country have something to do with the transfer?

BTW, 'Power Minister' sounds impressive, why complain? It's all for the salary anyway.

It's like the results of coronavirus tests... Communication is very, very slow.

They do not use a normal phone ("you're fired because you are a convicted drug trafficker, euh sorry a bad minister").

They use special thai means of communication (spirits ? Incense ?)

"I didn't get the memo."

He thinks he was not likely to be suitable as Power Minister. A breath of fresh air, or another episode of Yes Minister?

"I have no ambitions in that direction....

while one does not seek the office, one has pledged oneself to the service of one's country, and if one's friends were to persuade one that that was the best way one could serve, one might, reluctantly, have to accept the responsibility whatever one's own private wishes might be. "

Yet.

In most parliamentary democracies this is a sign you are up for replacement.
