The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has issued measures to contain the spread of Covid-19 in its netwrok, said Acting SRT Governor Worawut Mala.

“SRT has ordered staff at stations and on trains to wear mask throughout their working hours ” he said, adding “all stations and trains will be sterilised, especially the touch points”.

Also, the hand wash gels has been provided at stations and on trains.

Moreover, SRT is collaborating with relevant agencies, such as the provincial public health offices, in screening passengers travelling from border stations, such as Ban Klong Luk, Aranyaprathet, and Padang Besar.

Screening has been applied at crowded stations, or those located in tourist areas. “The operation would run until April, or until the situation returns to normal ” Worawut said.
