COVIR-19 and Ban on Groups 50 or More

Featured Replies

My daughters school received an order that her school graduation ceremony scheduled for March 18, 2020, must be cancelled. Government stating "No groups or gathers of 50 or more due to COVID-19 concerns are allowed."

Are they going to apply this to the Thai Immigration offices? I was there 2 weeks ago for my 90-day report. The place is always packed with well more than 50 foreigners and Thai staff packed like sardines in a tin can. Had quite a few Chinese as well, packed in, seeking to extend their visa's.

If they are truly concerned, they should do an automatic extension of everyone's visa status currently in the Kingdom and cancel all other onsite reporting requirements. I am supposed to go in later this month for the 800,000 report. Seriously considering not going and just mail the documents by EMS so I can get a receipt showing deliver. Will also include a letter stating I don't want to risk my health!

Think it will work?

pat kid on head and say the graduation not important

no. everything is set up to maximize corruption.

and as far as the groups of 50, this is the governments way of reminding students they can't gather in groups to protest because of the virus.
