If your rent is 5000, that leaves you with 5000. Then they have to send money back home, usually 2000 every month. So that leaves you with about 3000. Then after bills you barely have enough to eat. The average in BKK is 25000 THB per month.

There are loads of people who have a good education make a good living. We lost our maid who now makes 350k baht per year picking strawberries in S Korea. Please go on and tell me where people with little or no education can make 350k+ baht per year in Thailand.

It is just too bad if you are broke and starving. Please think of those who are better off than yuu or who want tons of face at international meetings. You being poor is a you problem. The country's image ???? Help the poor by beating them down is the image the junta is showing to the world. A rebuttal from opposition would be nice to hear.

The cost of living in South Korean is a lot more than in Thailand too: https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/country_result.jsp?country=South+Korea So not a good comparison. The security guy at my old apartment took a job picking fruit in Israel because it was better than sitting in front of the building all day doing nothing...but again...no desire to further his education or skills. Many of these jobs will eventually be eliminated come the AI era, which is going to be a big wake up call to all these poorly educated Thais working abroad. Except masseuses, they'll always be in demand! I mean, who wants a massage from a robot masseuse, right?
