Nongprue police in Chon Buri today (March 9) searched a house of one Sornsuwee Puraweerassawach, who allegedly hoarded millions of face masks to export to China.

Previously, it was rumoured that he allegedly coordinated with Deputy Agriculture Minister Thamanat Prompow, who strongly denied the rumour.

Paeng, Sornsuwee’s girlfriend, told reporters that the accusation was false. She explained that a video of her boyfriend with face masks, which he posted on his Facebook page, was actually shot in a factory that he did not own and before the law on face masks came into effect. She also said that he did not hoard face masks in his house.

She said she was trying to contact him for further explanation of the situation but he had not responded. She expected him to visit Nongprue Police Station this evening.

The police will request a search warrant from a Pattaya court to seek more evidence. A meeting is scheduled for 10.00am tomorrow.

I hadn't realised hoarding smiley face masks was an offence?

The guy in the middle is Blur, singing 'Badhead'.

Should be enough time to dispose of any incriminating evidence.

When Pattaya Plod are on the case things really happen ... eventually.
