Electricity charge will stay at Bt3.64 per unit for another four months, following a decision of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) on March 12 to maintain the fuel tariff (Ft) rate for May to August at minus 11.60 satang per unit.

It aims to ease the cost of living for Thai households affected by the economic impact of Covid-19 , said ERC secretary-general Khomgrich Tantravanich on Thursday.

Power demand during May to August is expected to reach 69,920 million units, up from the estimated 65,724 million units for the first four months( January-April).

More confusion; they said they would lower the electricity rate to 'help people in this difficult time'.  Possibility of lowering VAT was also mentioned and now in the last two days they have decided not to 'help people in this difficult time' and that follows on from not giving 2,000 Baht to poor people.    So; what are they going to do to help people ?

Pocket the excess profit and distribute between themselves - no change! :shock1:
