So the hotel owner puts a picture of one of his guest saying that he had the virus and it turns out he didn’t have the virus wow I guess thais can do anything here to Foreigners TIT

You guessed wrong, but predictably.  One Thai to one foreigner, not "Thais" plural.

I find it hard to believe that a hotel is groundless. I thought that all that electrical stuff had been sorted.

A joke of that quality deserves better reconigition....

although many posters are treating this news with humour Thailand is in fact becoming a severely more dangerous place for foreigners. The actions and attitude of a racist xenophobic deputy PM openly unchecked upon a poorly educated population who are unable to think for themselves will lead Thailsnd down a road they will eventually regret. The lawlessness that is rampant already in Thailand will lead them to justify actions to themselves that are only going to get worse.

Several SangSom bottles keeps the virus away.

I remember when my dear old dead dad was sick he'd just buy a big bottle of whiskey and sit and drink it over a few days. Flu and bugs never killed him. Though coroner said he had a pickled liver at 80 !

Iv,e just bought 2 1ltr bottles of whisky, lemon juice and honey just in case I get it. Whisky lemon juice honey and hot water has always cured me or at least made me feel better???? . Sometimes I run out of honey lemon and hot water.

I'm starting to be more worried about the Health minister and his cronies than the virus......... Next it'll be    " All dirty falangs must leave Thailand and leave all their belongings and money ".......   I wouldn't put it past this lot........  Now you can understand why there's been so much agro with immigration over the last two years with people with the same views as the health minister....... Jump through as many hoops as you want but at the end of the day you'll have to pick up and run........ 100%

This, she said, was why he wasn't feeling too good

Eating dodgy Krapow, the beer was fine?

I'm just surprised they didn't attempt to cover it up, advertising that you had a virus case in the hotel would make sure you remained empty.

Or maybe he did have the virus and the hotel plus hospital were given the word by Puyai to change their story.

could be part of an alien invasion force too???

eh, you'd  have to be  pretty  sick to be dead I think

Probably didn't shower much - hence probable cause...

These are uncertain times.

There is much unknown. Especially in Thailand.

If the hotel owner genuinely believed that this guy was infected then he acted correctly. I do not see this as xenophobia.

Sounds as if the chap, by his drinking, was causing problems in any case.

He checked out the day he was due to fly home ? Something fishy here !

Yes. What else would he do if he had a flight booked? Check back in?

Yeh there is A nut in government who stupidity has come to the forefront on more that one occasion and will continue no doubt.

no panic for catching malaria? yet it kills officially more than 400,000.00 persons every year

So they checked him for the virus then ?

He is back in Norway and catched the virus for real the moment he landed. Case number 1050 ...

Other countries one would have the hotel for not only defamation, but breach of privacy and medical confidentiality

We are in different times, as well as a different country!

The S2 Hotel had to post that they got it wrong and he didn't have Covid-19.

So grounds for a 5 million libel suit?  That's the usual practice round here.

See how easy it is to lose tourists indefinitely, plus of course he will have a field day on social media

and tell how badly he was treated. They'll never learn.
