District officers in Bangkok surveyed their respective areas to see if entertainment venues were complying with the city administration's order on temporary closure of their premises.

The move follows a Cabinet resolution on March 17 to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus (Covid-19).

District officers of Min Buri, Phra Khanong and Khlong San inspected all premises in their areas and informed entrepreneurs on ways to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and follow the government and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) orders.

“Entertainment venues, such as massage parlours, theatres, gymnasiums, stadiums, and race courses must be temporarily closed from March 18 to 31,” the officials said.

The initial inspection showed that entertainment venues in each district were cooperating by closing their services.

“District officers will survey regularly until the last date,” the officials said. “Violators will face the law.”

Whatever governments do people won’t like it ,people need to earn money to survive. Dammed if they do and dammed if they dont

What people should or should not do is beyond my control. I modify my behaviors, stay clear of those that don't and and let others pull their hair out in frustation. When I don't do the aforementioned, I am the foolish one.

Some will try to skirt the closure due to financial problems... but this is real.

Close now for a short time to try and reduce this first wave, or stay open and suffer the consequences later.
