March 19, 20206 yr Popular Post Yup, Stage 3 is probably here. Still, Thailand is doing better than some First World countries (I'm talking about you, United Kingdom!). We're self-quarantining, because my wife was critically ill with pneumonia two years ago. She's at high risk. Makro in Rawai, Phuket wasn't going crazy two days ago. Hopefully, Buddhist Thai's won't panic like stupid, spineless westerners. Go well!!

March 19, 20206 yr Popular Post wow this isn't looking at all promising. should have shut down the flesh pots a long time ago.
March 19, 20206 yr The infections from the boxing stadium have been previously reported as Lumpini, this story says Rajadamnern. Accuracy is important in these times.

March 19, 20206 yr Popular Post Ok somebody started testing in larger quantities. Good. But still: 2606 pending. Low new PUI is probably because of their admission criteria, which is also why we're not seeing stage 3, they are not counting as PUI those without recent travel, contact to tourists, etc unless they already have heavy symptoms: https://ddc.moph.go.th/viralpneumonia/eng/file/guidelines/G_CPG_en.pdf Starting to look blindingly clear the virus is making rounds in general population. Prepare for stage 3, mandatory quarantines. Edited March 19, 20206 yr by DrTuner
March 19, 20206 yr Still like to know how many tests constituted this kind of result. This is not surprising at all, and it will grow significantly when they have a proper, affordable, efficient and timely testing procedure...if they do. Until then, the virus multiples. Over to you Cha Cha...what you gonna do...that you should have done 6 weeks ago?

Accuracy is important in these times. Both stadiums had big shows around the time it spread, big show at Rajadamnern on 5th, the one at Lumpini on 6th and shows for several days after. A lot of the people testing positive are the gamblers and they would most likely have been at both stadiums. Rajadamnern is offering free screening now for 100 people a day, must have been in the stadium in the time frame to be eligible. There will no doubt be cases from both. A lot of the community are getting tested so will be a lot more cases from these two stadiums in coming days I think Edited March 19, 20206 yr by Tingnongnoi spelling
March 19, 20206 yr Popular Post 19 minutes ago, kotsak said: For some live action.. https://covidtracker.5lab.co/en The tracker is only good if they report it. We had a 25 year old male come to visit his parents after being to the boxing stadium at BKK, he even bragged about shaking some superstars hands. All at the boxing stadium were told to report to authorities, this guy went to work for a day and then told his boss he was going to visit his parents. Was here for 3-4 days eating with his big family as they do in Isaan from the same big plate with their hands and he went out with friends drinking every night, a couple of friends asked him if he got checked because he was bragging that he went to the stadium and he sprayed them with his saliva laughing saying don't be stupid I have nothing. The police came to his parents house a few days ago with hospital staff who tested him, he tested positive as of last night, this village is in between Udon Thani and Sakon Nakhon, yet I see nothing on the tracker, and my wife is a member of a Thai forum and people have been saying the same thing, e.g. they have people in their villages who have tested positive, now multiply that by x amount of villages around Thailand and you would have far more than 272 reported by the government, but then again we all know that.

March 19, 20206 yr @kotsak I have looked at this site as well. It looks legit, but how can we tell? Do you have any source that tells you it's definitive? Yesterday, someone said that there were 4 cases near me in Phuket. That may be nonsense, but the site you linked to hasn't mentioned any cases in Phuket. It would be great to have a trustworthy source. ????
March 19, 20206 yr Our local temple, outside Chiang Mai is having a fund raising festival this weekend. Set aside large parking areas in the fields, so expecting many outsiders to visit ????
