The sleeping giant has awoken. Its so wonderful to read and watch all of the ordinary Americans just getting into the American groove and starting to kick some Virus ass.

The whole world supports you, and please don't forget to make wonderful tv-series like Dexter so those of us in state imprisonment can ignore the mask Nazis.

So true!  What a terrible time for America to have as President such a lying, selfish, incompetent idiot with the attention span of a 2 year-old.  It's easy to see he is already bored with the virus and wants to get back to making himself and his cronies even richer.

Joe Biden has been very quiet lately , what kind of future leader would he be?

he should be out there on his pony building friendship with voters

I am sure you know this, but I am repeating it because I just had first hand experience.

The reported case are only a function of the testing kits of which none or very few are available.

My sisters daughter (love her to death, like a daughter to me) located in NYC, started feeling sick three days ago, Tired, sore throat, pain in her lungs. She tried to get help on the phone for hours with no success. And she is well informed as she is a professional, and my  sister is Also  a registered nurse and an upper level manager for a National home care organization.

Trying to impress that these people are much better connected than the average Joe.

Anyway Yesterday she developed a fever also and went to the emergency at the local hospital.  She said it was a zoo and felt bad because there were so many people there much worse than her. After several hours there they took an x ray, told her that she did not have pneumonia yet , but did not test her for the virus because they did not have enough test kits. Send her home and told her to keep trying the number.

It is very frustrating because both my sister and me are stuck in Florida and all we can do is call on the phone.

That's all I know, I did not want to press my sister for more info as she was very upset , 6 am here , can't sleep, being up since 4 am, I will call my sister later today to find out how Nataly is doing.

VERY FEW PEOPLE ARE BEING TESTED. (sorry for the caps) No one has any idea how many people are infected. Personally I think the test kits are delayed on purpose to artificially keep the numbers down.

I would advise her to start on a regimen of Azirthromycin and Chloroquine. They are having success with this cocktail in France and India. Worth a try. Better than doing nothing.

No. He is being very smart. He is allowing Trump to shoot himself in the foot daily, at those inane press conferences, that are really campaign rallies. He will trounce Trump in the election. Just wait. Corona already beat Trump. His presidency is over. The US is the next epicenter. We see it happening daily. Up to 10,000 new cases a day now. The US will surpass China's numbers in a few more days. It is just getting started. So much could have been done, so much earlier.

Who can forget the classic trumpisum it’s a Democrat hoax referring to the covid virus as trump gets rid of the people who speak truth as trump sticks his head in the sand and now after the time has passed to really get ahead of the curve continues to spread misinformation he’s pathetic and dangerous imo

That's the story of every government in every country. Not just Trump.

Merkel too could have done a lot more, much earlier.

Trump will not be judged how he reacted initially, he will be judged on his performance after the crisis ends.

And fail to understand the decentralization of power in the US system.

So, when I pay my federal taxes and some portion of that is allotted to FEMA or the CDC, I shouldn't expect those resources to be available to my state? What state would they be available to?  Is it conditional on how much groveling my governor is willing to do on behalf of his constituents?

How is that reponsive or even applicable to the point I made? Answer: its not. Its just another chance to cherry pick something and bash the President.

Let me know if you want me to explain to you how the US Federal System works. With that response, clearly you dont.

I could teach a course in it. I think you just threw it out as a red herring. BTW, nobody needs to cherry pick to bash this president.

Update

Spoke with my niece this morning, the good news is she is feeling better. still has not being tested and there are no prospect of being tested.

It is conceivable that she might recover  never having being tested and not knowing if she really had the virus, so never knowing if it safe or safer for her to go about her business because she has developed an immunity.

In the meantime I am being told she has a $5,000 deductible and her hospital visit might not be covered, especially since she was not tested and can not claim that her hospital visit is because of the virus. So on top of everything else she might be looking at a very large hospital bill.

Im watching Cumos press conference. He has 14,000 ventilators ready to go. 888 are being used.

His best line"Regulations [for hospitals] get in the way of mobilization so we are going to relax them".

If based on his response, you think he doesn't understand how the US Federal System works, it's you who needs the tutoring. You might begin by looking at past large scale emergencies and how the Federal Government responded. It looks like you have some very peculiar ideas about states's rights - the kind that predate the 1860's.

Watching the same thing live right now also

I did not particularly like him , but I am impressed by the way he is handling this.

IMO we would be infinitely better of if we had someone like him in the white house.

As an American described it to me. 'We cant plan anything except war and we aren't very good at that.'

I'm not American but I'd be interested to hear opinions.

There is a lot of truth in that.  There is no accountability amongst the so called "meritocracy", which is peppered with careerists.

All World Leaders SERIOUS about this tragedy....EXCEPT THE Clown in the White House . All he cares about is his RE-election. Americans who voted for him , aren’t you ashamed ?

That is the thing about those that support the ex-reality TV show star. They don't care about policy. They simply like his image and his rhetoric.

But now mix that with going up against Joe Biden, the guy who basically enables republican agendas and now can't even talk or do on-air interviews without indications he is unfit both as a leader and mentally.

So folks we are left with a global epidemic all the while being led by the government that only help themselves due to the travesties in leadership going on at the top. Without everyday people in mind rather, Wall Street. Both parties are not good. Just a few weeks ago UBI and socialist like policies were and have been demonized for quite some time in the USA (40 years).

Thanks to FDR and D. Eisenhower the policies that helped the middle class 'boom' and provided several civil programs aimed at raising the middle class has helped those 50 and older. Yet in the 2020 election the youth vote did not turn out and/or were suppressed. Those 50 and older decided to vote against similar measures for their kids. Why? Well they can't grasp paying $5 more in taxes with $0 hospital bills rather than paying $0 in taxes but a $15 hospital bill not too mention the bad name 'socialism' has. That and older blacks in the south forgot about their history and missing Obama's VP, 30330 Slow Joe Biden.

Kinda funny isn't. You know how socialism is okay for the wealthy and their corporations yet hated on TV when it helps lower income people. You even get regular posters and people hating on such assistance. All the while the military can't even perform a successful audit; From 2008-2015 there has been (Fact) $21 Trillion missing and unaccounted for. Corporations get bailed out and are getting bailed out again!

I say to you now after I have already bored you with this much, you know the readers who would need a 'chaser' after reading anything other than the doctrine of Sean Hannity, anyone still supporting the markets, continued bail-outs, lack of workers' rights, blah blah, well, when has propaganda ever been so strong as now?! The next generation of people are going to be much more progressive than the boomers. Once again it is the boomers, who have reaped the rewards, (those over 50) from progressive policies and the very same people, IMO, foolishly, voted for more of the same status quo. #naive.

It comes to a point where some folks are naive towards their government and others adhere to it.

why do you assume that? What gives you the power to determine what people think? Answer: nothing. Its made up.

All the points in your post flow from the same flawed premise set forth above.

You need to hope that every asset you ever bought goes up in value through inflation and that every expense you have goes down through deflation. You may have caught the wrong stretch of the K wave for that though. Sorry.

Assume he is an ex-reality TV show star? That is a fact... But, okay, I respect your view. Not flawed, I told it how it is. Make a counter to it. Did I mention the such has been talked about for awhile now. Might want to expand your sources for viewing what is going on in the country. Of course some people like his hair too, but hey that's another assumption according to you right?

So why do they support him? I'm dying to know.

Due to finding out some quite astounding information this past evening, I actually appreciate Trump more despite all his poor qualities.

To cut more social security or expand it? Continue war? How about the gold standard?

There should be a new party. One that supports having guns all the while being more progressive and that destroys the notion that government regulation is evil. What we have now and the current DEM and REP have allowed is worse than that of more 'big government.'

You see what so many current Republicans cannot grasp is that 'The Markets' are a tool we use as a society. If the tool isn't working well it needs to be improved. Oh did I mention being out of touch with about half the population..
