How to avoid first 90 day report at Chaeng Wattana

Featured Replies

I hate queuing at Chaeng Wattana at the best of times.  But during this State Of Emergency, and Covid-19 precautions, I'm really trying to avoid going to crowded places anyway.  Social Distancing.

Unfortunately, this is my first 90 day report, and I was told when my visa was issued, that I would HAVE to do my first report face to face at Chaeng Wattana.  (But after that, online, etc, would be ok).

Is there a way around going in-person tomorrow?  Or I have to take the risk, and just take precautions (mask, gloves, alcohol sanitiser, hand-washing, etc.).

Below is a picture of the reminder that was stapled in my passport... I take it the 26 March date is when I'm expected to attend?

You should be able to do it by mail since you send copies of your passport and etc.

See: https://www.immigration.go.th/content/sv_90day

The two dates on the paper most probably refer to the window during which you can do the 90-day report in person at your local IO (i.e 15 days before and till 7 days after your permission to stay expires).

If you want to do the 90-day report by mail - which would be wise in the current situation - the window is much smaller, and you have to sent it at least 15 days before your permission to stay expires.  So if you send it tomorrow it will just be in time...

The 17th of April is the date his report is due.

A 90 day report date is not a permission to stay date. It is only a report of staying longer than 90 consecutive days in the country.

Skip it. Go in few months time and pay 2000baht or inquire about agent to do it
